CAFAA CLASSROOM TRAINING
CAFAA IN-PERSON TRAINING
May 10, 2024 @ RFI in San Jose
- and -
May 17, 2024 @ AJK in Fullerton
The California Automatic Fire Alarm Association (CAFAA) in partnership with Fire Protection Education (FPE) is launching in-person Fire Alarm training at a Northern and at a Southern California location in May, 2024
The course that is being offered in both regions is
'2022 NFPA 72 - FIRE ALARM AND SIGNALING CODE FUNDAMENTALS'
Five and one-quarter (5.25) Continuing Education Hours (CEH) will be awarded to students on completion of training. The CEHs can be converted to Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by the WBFAA.
Class size is limited in both locations. We will implement a wait-list process and, if applicable, encourage you to add yourself to the wait-list as that will be a gauge to us that the class should be re-offered.
Our goal for in-person training is to be able to offer (1) one in-person training session, in each region, in each calendar quarter.
FPE has five courses that are classroom-ready.
FPE and CAFAA will also be developing new course material to meet the everchanging needs of our membership, for a fresh, high-quality, California-centric curriculum.
Sagiv Weiss-Ishai, P.E. (Calif. Licensed Fire Protection Engineer) is the principal trainer for FPE and will be the instructor for the two sessions in May.
As the course trainer, Mr. Weiss-Ishai will not be representing the SFFD policies or procedures in his course delivery.

CAFAA WEB-BASED TRAINING
CAFAA, in partnership with Jensen Hughes, offers a full spectrum of web-based Fire Alarm courses. You do not have to be a CAFAA member to take advantage of those offerings.
Due to technical difficulties with the Jensen Hughes (JH) Academy website, we are not able to offer web-based training at this time. Please check back periodically as JH is working to resolve the issue which impacts their entire Training Platform.
NOTE: to go to the Jensen Hughes Web-Based Training page, place your cursor over the Training Tab on the main menu bar; then click on 'Web-Based Training'.
